Tree Bombing

We have been knitting and crocheting all year, now all the Mudgeeraba community can enjoy the colourful trees at the Mudgeeraba Village Green

Tree bombed for the D’Arcy Doyle Art Awards, have a look at the great paintings in the hall.

As we were decorating the trees many people stopped and chatted to us and admired our tree bombing, they thought it was a fantastic project. Everyone was smiling and taking photos as they walked thru the park.

Go down there and have a look and visit the D’Arcy Doyle Art Show.

Freeform crochet with Prudence Mapstone

On the weekend our members enjoyed an inspiring workshop with Prudence Mapstone.

Prudence has kindly loaned a collaborated yarn bombing work to our project. Thanks Prudence.

We learned many new stitches, layout design and how to fit and sew scrumbles together. Even though it was hot we kept crocheting and had lots of fun.

The trees in Mudgeeraba are going to look wonderful.

Our busy club

Lots of our members have been getting creative lately. Our club days have been buzzing with activity.

Anna has been crocheting flower hats for yarn bombing, proudly modeled by herself and Faith her cute little helper.

Gita has made a beautiful handwoven long vest.

Lots of members have been busy making bags for the Christmas gift exchange.

There is always something crafty going on.

Yarn Bombing Mudgeeraba

So come down to Mudgeeraba and have a look. It is all for the d’Arcy Doyle Art Awards in the Mudgeeraba Memorial Hall, open now until the 10 July.
