Another crafty day

Today at our weekly crafty fix, there was a lot going on! How unusual? Ha !!!

People were warping up looms for our hands on display at this weekends Gold Coast Show, make sure you visit the craft pavilion to see our awesome creative entries.

Other members were busy getting sock yarn, balled, hanked or tied up in knots for dying. I was quietly trying to spin when all of a sudden out of the hands of the ladies next to me, their sock yarn was all caught up in my spinning wheel, all tangled in the bobbin and caught in the band. I know I need help with my spinning, but really! It happened not once but twice, what are the odds? The culprits shall remain nameless.

Anyway the sock yarn was dyed in lovely colour gradients, well done. Be careful I may have to sabotage your knitting!

Show competition

The Mudgeeraba Show was a great success for our group with an outstanding 125 entries in the Spinning, Weaving and Felting section. Lots of our members are grinning with pride after being awarded prizes. Well done to everyone that entered. The overall champion is Pam Everitt, congratulations. Feast your eyes on the gorgeous handmade crafts.
